Laurie Wright pictureLaurie Wright, Vice-President
Laurie Wright recently rejoined the board after previously serving on the boards of the League and the Mary McAfee Residency.   She has certificates in non-profit management and fundraising and has served on the Boards of several other non-profit organizations. After growing up in the Los Angeles area, she graduated from UCSD and the University of San Diego School of Law.   She is currently an administrative law judge after practicing law for 25 years, representing clients in real estate and business disputes.  She hopes to help the Board with recruitment and maintenance of volunteers, as well as fundraising.

Toni Lawrence, Secretary
Toni graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and then left to train and serve with the Peace Corps in Honduras.   She moved to San Diego from San Francisco in 1978 with her husband Darrel and their three children and went on to earn a Professional Certificate in Accounting from SDSU.   
Toni started as a Director of the Big Sister League in 1993 and has held all of the officer positions for the League and Mary McAfee Residency on 4th Avenue.   She is currently retired from a long career at Murria & Frick Insurance Agency in Solana Beach where she served as its CFO. 
 
Stormy MillerStormy Miller, Member at Large
Stormy earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Program and Agency Administration, and has a Bachelor in Social Work. She is currently a Service Coordinator at San Diego Regional Center for the Developmentally Disabled. Throughout college, she served as a graduate assistant in the UA Women's Resource Center, intern with Turning Point Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services, and intern in the Office of the District Attorney. She also has volunteered in London, England, working with individuals with mental illness.
 
Amie BrownAmie Brown, Member at Large
Amie Brown is currently the Director of Business Development for the Council of Community Clinics (CCC) and its two subsidiary organizations, Council Connections and Community Clinics Health Network. She has worked at the CCC for 13 years.  In her role, she has been able to work closely with community clinics throughout the state of California, as well as on a national level.  Prior to working at CCC, Ms. Brown worked in a feminist women’s health center, WomonCare, in San Diego. It was at this point that she knew that working for underserved populations and fighting for a stronger safety net would become her passion.  Ms. Brown graduated with a B.A. in Women’s Studies and a B.A. in Sociology from San Diego State University. She currently resides in Solana Beach, CA and is the mother of two girls, Chloe (10) and Sophie (7). 
 
Dhaval PrajapatiMegan Mazza, Member at Large
Megan Mazza is an attorney in the San Diego office of Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis where she specializes in complex civil litigation.  After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, Megan moved to San Diego in 2004 and joined the board in 2010.  Megan's previous non-profit work includes internships with the Chicago Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and The Children's Defense Fund in Washington D.C.
 

Nicole Caltagirone, Member at Large
Nicole moved to San Diego in 2006 from Massachusetts and has since earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from S.D.S.U. She recently joined the board in 2009 and works for a Community Research Foundation program, which serves people with chronic mental illness and a history of homelessness. Nicole’s experience is a good match with the Big Sister League’s mission, such as her work with the mental health population, child protective services and past volunteering as a mentor. She is looking forward to helping the Board with expanding the mentoring program, event planning and developing additional funding resources in the community.

Judy Enns, Member at Large
Judy has been a board member since 1994 and has served in all board capacities. Judy received her doctorate in Communications from Ohio State University. In 1990, Judy founded HR Solutions to address the Human Resources needs of small, medium and large employers in Southern California. Currently the firm has seven practice locations throughout the west and in Atlanta, GA.
