Our Wish List

Our Holiday Party for Little Sisters and residents is on December 14th. The holidays are on the way and the Big Sister League is in particular need of holiday gifts for our residential and mentoring programs.

For our Residents:

  • GIFT CARDS we would particularly appreciate are Target, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Landmark or AMC movie theaters, Lane Bryant, Payless Shoes, DSW Shoes, Bath & Body Works, or any Hillcrest restaurants.
  • GIFTS: new make-up sets, new perfume, concert or event tickets, bath gift sets.

For our Little Sisters:

  • GIFT CARDS to Target, Wal-Mart, and trendy teeny type stores.
  • GIFTS for girls age 6-17: new make-up sets, new purses, toys, tickets to movies, Sea World, the Zoo, museums, etc, and anything feminine, new, and ‘special’.

For our Little Sister’s families:
We try to give holiday baskets and gifts to the family and siblings of our little sisters as well.  Baskets of holiday practical foods.  New toys for boys and girls of all ages.  Please no plush animals. 

Other donations for our programs:

  • BIG/LITTLE SISTER CAMPOUT needs warm sleeping bags, camping mats/blow-up mattresses, flashlights, and tents.
  • OFFICE SUPPLIES are required to run both programs.  We can always use reams of white paper, Avery label sheets, HP ink cartridges, postage stamps, and filing folders.
  • BIRTHDAY AND CONGRATULATIONS CARDS for our residential program.
  • NON-PERISHABLE FOODS for our residential program: peanut butter, jam, canned fruits and vegetables, olive and canola oils, pastas, tea and coffee, Jell-O, lemonade or fruit punch concentrate, cake or brownie mixes, condiments and salad dressings.
  • PET SUPPLIES for our resident cats: cat food, kitty litter, cat flea and tick medicines.
  • PERSONAL ITEMS for our residents: toothpaste, tampons, deodorant, tooth brushes, shampoo, conditioner, razor blades, etc.
  • BEDDING for our residential program: (for twin size beds) sheets, hypo allergenic pillows,  mattress pads, bed skirts, duvets, zippered vinyl mattress covers, under-bed storage boxes
  • OTHER TEXTILES for our residential program: hand towels (bath and kitchen), bath towels, bathmats (with underside plastic gripping).
  • EMERGENCY SUPPLIES for our residential program: rope ladders, Band-Aids, moist towelettes, antibiotic ointment in single-use packages
  • COOKING EQUIPMENT for our residential program: knife set, extra large skillets, toaster, waffle iron, tupperware, metal silverware.
